The Kamnik Saddle trail is one of the most scenic hiking routes in the Kamnik–Savinja Alps. The hike starts in Kamniška Bistrica and follows a well-marked path through forested areas, gradually becoming steeper and more rocky as you gain elevation. Along the way, hikers pass beautiful viewpoints and alpine terrain before reaching Kamnik Saddle and the mountain hut beneath the peaks of Brana and Planjava.

The trail is moderately difficult and requires good hiking shoes, as some sections are steep and uneven. Hiking poles, water, and layered clothing are recommended, especially because weather conditions in the mountains can change quickly.

At the top, the effort is rewarded with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding Alps and a peaceful alpine atmosphere that makes this one of the most popular hiking routes in Slovenia.
